Cripps Barn Wedding

Real Wedding at Cripps Barn, Gloucestershire

What better way to bring in the New Year than with some images from a beautiful wedding that I am honoured to have been a part of from the end of last summer. Set in the beautiful venue of Cripps Barn, which is in the heart of the Cotswolds. It has a sense of rustic, elegant charm about it in which I wanted to capture in the stationery I created for this wonderful couple getting married.

Nicole and Chris were so great in the sense that they totally trusted my opinion and thus gave me the creative freedom to design all of their signage in which we printed onto stylish clear perspex. I wanted all the signs to be in keeping with everything else they had planned for the Big Day and also to enhance that sense of luxury yet rural nature.

There’s nothing I love more than receiving the official photos from the wedding day itself because it puts what I do into context; as I only ever see it in my studio and not in situ, surrounded by everything else that helps to make the day so magical. I also love seeing how happy my clients are and that’s what it’s all about! All photo credits go to, Jess Reeve Photography- and what a wonderful job too! Congratulations Nicole & Chris and best wishes for the future!

Real Wedding at Cripps Barn 🌿

I truly love nothing more than receiving wedding photos from the Big Day itself… It puts everything into perspective and a vision become reality. It’s amazing to see all the stationery I produce in my little studio come together with all the other wonderful things on the day, such as the flowers, foliage, overall table layout and everything.

This post is dedicated to the awesome couple Claire & Josh who travelled all the way from sunny Sydney, Australia to get married in the beautiful Cotswold venue, Cripps Barn.

They came to me after they had done their invitations and wanted something really special and personalised to them for the wedding day. They had two very prominent themes that they wanted enhancing within their stationery; their love of craft beer & beautiful rustic antlers. As you will see in the photographs below, we incorporated both of these things very nicely into their stationery, with flashes of copper, foliage, watercolour & brown kraft goodness. I had so much fun creating everything, including: personalised place names, personalised belly bands that wrapped around the napkins, an Order of the Day sign, Table Plan Cards, Table Name Cards, menus and Order of Service booklets. Thanks for having all the faith and giving me the creative freedom to produce some really exciting stuff! Congratulations to Claire & Josh, it was an absolute pleasure!

Illustrated Order of the Day Wedding Sign

Signage for the Big Day itself is as important as all the other aspects of your stationery - it's in these little details that your guests will be WOWED by...! An Order of the Day sign is great for so many reasons:

- Your guests love to know what's going on (and how to pace themselves!)
- It sets the tone for the day
- It creates an air of excitement
- It's something that is really unique to you and your Big Day
- It's something that you can keep and cherish afterwards

I recently had the pleasure in designing and creating a bespoke Order of the Day sign in which I hand painted every illustration and created a timeline of events. The font and style of the sign is all in keeping with couple's other stationery (table cards, order of service booklets, place names etc). It's been printed onto foam board, thus can be free standing on an easel (you could also do something similar but have it framed instead).

Please do get in touch if you would like something unique created for your Order of the Day.
