Business Stationery for Red Pig Coffee 🐽

Nothing says COFFEE like brown kraft cards... They just seem to go hand in hand with each other. Red Pig Coffee Roasters are a fabulous company based in the Cotswolds that supply rich, glorious coffee to well respected coffee joints all over the country. When they came to me for a little re-brand and help with both the designing and printing of some of their products, I could'nt wait to get my hands on it.
We agreed that foiling their stationery was the way forward. Giving everything a luxury feel to it but keeping it all very much 'earthy' and reflective of their products.
I have very much enjoyed working with the team behind Red Pig and looking forward to some more exciting things to come!
Please get in touch if you'd like help with your business stationery... there's a lot to be said for having creating the right tone with your stationery.

Business Stationery for Vanilla Pod Bakery 🍰👰🏽

I recently had the pleasure of working with Pia from Vanilla Pod Bakery. Everything about her brand, style and cake designs scream luxury; so we wanted to resemble this with all of her stationery too.

I designed her gold foiled stickers as well as her business cards; which are triple layered, with pink edging and hand printed gold foil. Having such prestigious business cards really does set you apart from anyone else. It's the first impression someone gets of your business, so it's important to set the right tone.

If you haven't yet thought about your wedding cake, then make sure you look at all the wonderful creations Not only are Pia's designs incredible, but the huge range of flavours that she creates are just filled with mouth watering goodness!

Business Stationery for Cake Daydreams 🍰💕

When the wonderful Claire from Cake Daydreams approached me and wanted some "new business stationery goodness", I jumped at the opportunity at creating her new business cards, thank you cards and also menu cards for her amazing cakes.

We decided to go for the luxury finish of foiling for the business cards; silver on a light blush pink and silver on a light grey. Instead of going for the standard size, Claire opted to go for square cards, which are a bit different and work very nicely with her logo. The Thank You cards and Menu cards are the same colour variants as the business cards, so everything matches beautifully. I designed everything in keeping and had lots of fun doing so!

If you haven't yet sourced your cake supplier for the Big Day, I can strongly recommend Claire from Cake Daydreams; her cake designs are second to non- she can create anything- the vast array of favours are just delicious and Claire provides an unrivalled professional, bespoke service mixed with a fun and honest approach.

Business Stationery for The Lion Sparkles 💫💕

In case you didn't know, I work on many different projects here at Retro Press, including business stationery. I recently had the honour to work with the wonderful Beth from The Lion Sparkles. The brief... think bold, bright, STATEMENT!

So... I designed and produced a range of neon pink, electric yellow and sassy black postcards (see below), which I think match their products perfectly! I also created some labels to match. As you can imagine, I had a lot of F U N working on these items and I'm very looking forward to doing lots more with them! Remember... Attitude Is Everything!

⚡️ The Highlights from Retro Press in 2017

Wow! Where did that year go?! And what a wonderful, jam- packed, exciting one it was too! I've had invitations coming out of my ears, from rustic to glam and everything in between, I've designed and produced lots of different and unique day stationery, from do not disturb signs to huge welcome signs, and then there has also been a lot of business stationery on the go and new brands that I've been working with... It's been crazy! Did I mention that there has been several collaborative photo-shoots, wedding fairs, meetings and relationships formed with wedding suppliers and wedding venues AND a re-launch of the website too?! Oh and I've moved studios/ house and got a little fur baby too- Lewi, a very naughty miniature dachshund!

Now at Retro Press, I can do Table Plans and Table Names on PERSPEX. It's different, unique and a service that you can't find just anywhere. I would love to do Invitations on perspex... Maybe in 2018- any takers?!

Gold Foiled Postcards

If you didn't know, then as well as wedding stationery, Retro Press also does a whole other range of bespoke stationery also. We have recently just designed and printed some postcards for the fabulous Paper Party Company who specialise in creating modern, bespoke bunting and party decorations. These postcards are to go in with the packaging of their wonderful products that are sent out to their customers.
The brief from Lisa from The Paper Party Company was to keep them fun and have the 'wow' factor. With a view to all of their products and fun approach to their work, we decided early on that we should keep them bright, fresh, clean and modern. The gold foiling works really well on the fuchsia pink cards... Have a look!!

Please get in touch to discuss your personalised business stationery!

Rustic Letterpress Business Cards & Swing Tags

So I don't know if you know, but we also do business stationery here at Retro Press. Whether you want something designed or just printed, you've come to the right place.
If you're looking for that rustic/ vintage feel, why not go authentic and go letterpress?! I always tell my clients that if you're looking for a 'perfect' finish then it's best to go digital (which we also do), but if you want that almost 'stamp' like finish, it's got to be letterpress all the way.
The beauty of letterpress is that you can print almost any material and any card thickness, so our cards tend to be on the thicker paper stocks. This is also why this process is good for swing tags, which I believe need to be of a sturdy stock. We also try to use recycled paper where ever we can too.
Please look at our wide variety that we've printed below. Some we have designed, but some we have just printed for our clients. Please get in touch for prices etc.

Letterpress Kraft Business Cards

Here at Retro, we do a lot of business stationery as well as wedding stationery. Whether you want your business cards designing or just printing, we do both. The differences between letterpress printed cards and digital are quite distinct; with digital printing, you will always get a clean, perfect finish. With letterpress printing, it is never perfect- some cards may be more heavily inked, some may be quite faded and there can also be little excess ink spots on the cards; it's the authentic rustic/ hand crafted finish that you get with this process.

With the business cards showcased in this post, the client sent through their design and requested edge printing to match their branding. The edge printing that we do here, again is not a 'clean' finish... There will always be a bit of bleed onto the cards which enhance that more 'rough', craft finish to the cards.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you require your cards printing or indeed designing (letterpress, gold foil or digital).

Letterpress Labels for Kingsley Leather

So I recently collaborated with Kingsley Leather to produce some customised letterpress swing tags. It was the perfect match of bespoke handcrafted products. Kingsley Leather create some amazing, truly unique items which are also personalised to their clients- please have a look at just some of their finery below:

What I love about these exquisite items is the wonderful imagination, thought and personalisation behind them. I felt privileged to team up with this brand and produce their letterpress labels to go with their products. We printed 400 in total, double sided with the rounded corner finishing. Looking forward to hopefully working some more with Kingsley Leather in the future :)

Stationery for The Hollow Bottom, Guiting Power

The beautiful country pub that is The Hollow Bottom in Guiting Power, recently just had a huge refurb and I was lucky enough to work on all of their stationery for them. The brief: to keep it  retro, fresh and with a tint of vintage to match the vibe of place. If you haven't yet been... GO! The food is awesome, the ambience and staff are wicked and the stationery isn't bad either!

So I designed all the menus, which includes the main menu, children's menu, wine list and breakfast. I also did their business cards and bespoke beer matts! Have a look below:

I also had the pleasure of designing and printing their T-shirts, which is the staff's uniform... I think they may also be available for purchase too. Nice little momento! So I wanted them to be totally bespoke to The Hollow Bottom, keeping them fun, informative and of course retro in keeping with the vibe of the pub. Enjoy, and don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries.

Business cards for Gloucestershire Magician, Richard Parsons!

It has been an absolute pleasure working with the renowned magician Richard Parsons, aka Gloucestershire Magician on his new business cards. The brief: to keep them classy and 'prestige'- I think it would be quite easy to go 'cheesy' with these, which of course we wanted steer right away from. So digitally designed and printed on 400gsm paper, this was the result (see below).

If you don't know Rich, please check out his work now- He does weddings, corporate events, parties and has a residency once a month in the cool cocktail bar, Lily Gins. Prepare to be A M A Z E D! You can also find out more on Gloucestershire Magician Facebook and get regular updates on Rich's Twitter :)

What a fun project to work on! Enjoy!

Letterpress Business Cards

As well as wedding stationery,we also do a lot of business stationery here at Retro Press.

Whether you have your logo/ design already to go or whether you want us to design it, we will letterpress print it, no problem!

In the instance that I am showcasing, I had total freedom when it came to the design of both the front and back of the business cards in question. This was the initial brief from the client: "I want to keep things super simple but would also like an input from yourselves"... My favourite kind!

Here is the letterpress set up below:

After a few amendements to the back, we were good to go! Each and every one was hand printed, thus giving them that unique quality digital printing cannot attain. I'm very happy with the finished product and it's great to deal with other local creatives. For more info on getting your cards letterpress printed, get in touch.

Earl's & Co Cheltenham

Earl's & Co, if you didn't know, is an amazing traditional Barber's shop and woman's beauty salon in the heart of Cheltenham. They provide a fantastic service, making their customers feel right a home with a cheeky glass of whisky or champagne to sip on whilst having their treatments done- genius! The mood is retro, the vibe is relaxed and it is just THE place to go if you're after a good old pampering sesh! I love the decor (see pics below), the atmosphere and their unique style- it is no ordinary salon that's for sure! They host fab hen parties and for other such occasions- especially christmas parties at this time of year.

As you can imagine, I was so chuffed to have been asked to do some stationery for this cool, independent barber's shop & beauty salon. The brief: to keep it retro/ vintage and obviously match the style and aesthetics of the place. I designed and printed their new business cards, along with some signage to go on the doors and coasters in which one can pop one's lovely warming whisky upon. Delightful! It has been a pleasure working with Jess and the team and I look forward to doing some more work with them in the future. Have a look at their website to find out more & to book an appointment. Check out the work I've done for them below and please get in touch with me if you need anything for your business, whether it be business cards, comp slips, labels... anything!

Hump Day

I'm going to keep this one short and sweet but as promised (ok I might of missed a few), here is my hump day post!!

I thought I'd take a few pics throughout my day to show you the kind of stuff I get up to on a general bases, but as you can see it is very varied! Which is why I love what I do!

So I've been printing proof prints of Save the Date wedding coasters for a couple, which I must get off in the post! These letterpress coasters go down a storm and are such a great way of sending out something a little bit different.

It's also been quite a festive day as you can see! Totally getting in the spirit of things and printing a range of 4 different letterpress cards for one client- brief was to keep traditional, so red/ gold was the colour of choice and beautiful, classic imagery and type. Separate to that job, I started printing the inside of some christmas cards for the wonderful Graphic Design company, Jolly Good Design, Cheltenham. These have been designed in house by Laurel and so I've had the plates made and letterpress printing them in the burnt orange colour to match their branding! Can't wait till their done!! And I have also letterpressed my own christmas cards for Retro Press!

All in a day's work and I've been in letterpress heaven I must say! If you're after anything personalised or have got something specific you want to be letterpressed/ designed- (maybe a letterpress print for a special person for christmas?!) don't hesitate to get in touch, I'd love to help!

Hump Day Hurray!

I think I skipped last week's 'Hump Day' post- apologies, it's been crazy busy!! So I thought I'd show what I was doing a week ago today instead of writing this...

In one of my previous posts, I did an informal interview with Tom from Cotswold Vintage Scoop, telling you all about the retro, amazing ice cream vans he has has for hire for wedding and other events. And now he is embarking upon doing workshops, in which you get to learn the craft of making these wonderful ice creams for yourself! These would be great for hen parties, birthday/ christmas presents or just for fun! Soooo, in order to keep the vibe vintage and retro, Tom asked me to design and print some letterpress vouchers and posters for this... Have a look at the below pictures which show some of the letterpress process.

This was my brief from Tom:

"The voucher needs to have my logo (Cotswold Vintage Scoop), scream fun, premium and retro/vintage."

This is my favourite kind of brief and right up my street. I had the freedom to do what I liked once I had all the copy for the artwork. I had a lot fun printing these although I did every colour separately, so the end product of 50 vouchers were hand pressed in total of 250 times individually!! And that's not including all the 'duff' ones either!! But I think they were worth it- take a look below.

So as you can see, it's not just wedding stationery that I do here, but anything and everything I can letterpress, I will; whether it be for business, fun or home. I've dug out some old bits and pieces that I've done in the past to demonstrate the wide range of work I do and love :) If you've got anything in mind, give us a bell!
